Storks and industrial history in Petershagen

You can encounter rare water birds and white storks on the stork route of Petershagen. This approximately 50 km long adventure route takes you to other sights of the "Weserauen" (Weser meadows): In addition to various types of mills, the Heimsen herring catcher museum and the Westphalian industrial museum "Glashütte Gernheim" can be explored here. Here you can watch a glassblower performing his art using original technology.

During a guided tour through the imposing castel of Petershagen directly necxt to the Weser, the lord of the castle will introduce you to the building's turbulent history, which was built from 1306 onwards.
